The One Secret Of Blogging Success

Whenever there is a competition – a winner is chosen. This is the so called the natural order of things. The best of the best is chosen. A spot light shines upon the winner. But my curiosity runs deeper as I was wondering what is the reason to become successful? Ms Kseniya Sukhinova had disclosed and showed the world her winning factors a fortnight ago. She capitalised her nervousness to and came through as the new Miss World and her winning card was, in my opinion, this statement in which she said that “I think I can help people and I want to help people and today if I walk away with this crown I will do that”

I was also wondering today the difference between a popular blog and an unpopular one. As I was searching the 100 best blog of technorati I came to realise that the code for blogging success lay only one major factor – helping people. The Huffington Post help people in getting the latest news. The Gizmodo, Techcrunch, Engadget, Ars Technica helps people in guiding them of the latest technology. Boing Boing is a wonderful blog which help people in understanding different cultures. Lifehacker helps people in giving tips and downloads for getting things done. Google blog helps people to understand better about google products, technology and its culture. Daily Kos helps people to better understand the state of the nation. Smashing Magazine helps people in making life easier.

My favourite blog is Problogger as Darren Rowse helps people to understand about blogging. Darren Rowse had been maintaining as one of the top in technorati list due to his apparent benevolence nature. His desire to aid others in blogging challenges made him an outstanding and successful blogger. I salute to his giving nature!

Yaro Starak is also a natural giver who talks about how you can become successful on Internet Marketing. Most people jump to blogging ‘bandwagon’ and thinks about making money instantaneously by putting up ads and affiliate marketing without giving value or any help to readers. You have to focus on giving to visitors first. It can be a product, service or information – help people by giving first.

The gist of successful blogging lay in only one thing- that is giving. When the Bible says –ask and then you receive – has an implication that giving to others is almost not natural in us. The human brain has evolved from the reptilian, mammalian to where we are now. The animalistic nature inherent in us is ever a stumbling block to success because our mind wants to dominate and to take from others. That is why religion arose to guide mankind. For example, in many of the verses of the Al Quran God points out this nature in man and guides him on the goodness of giving “Remember God and Give” – “As salatha… wa zakatha”

I also wonder what could have made Steve Pavlina blog into oblivion as he was among the top 100 in technorati. It could be that his latest post on water base diet is harder on readers!:)

You need to give something to get. Be the first to give and you will get in the long run. It is a proven principle for a successful blog. The ‘stingy’ nature of mankind resulted in creating a buffer zone of legends like Santa Clause who gives unconditionally to the most deprived. Live to give. This is then the one secret of blogging success.

The more you keep the more you lose and the more you give the more you gain. The more you have the more is expected from you.
