How To Manage Confidence Level

At the midst when everything around us goes wrong the one thing that can save us to survive is our self confidence. We have great dreams and we put our dreams into goals. We draw out a plan to reach our objective. But, in the end only confidence is the fuel that drive us to the rest of the road of success. The goal we set out to do when come upon us too strong we lose our confidence.

It is really difficult to differentiate whether we are shy or our confidence level has shrunk. If you can raise the level of confidence you can wipe out shyness. But, as we go on living we tend to forget to calculate the confidence level. In hindsight every meeting and every pursuit of public speaking has some unfilled gaps. It is always regrettable. We could have carried out the meeting with some special announcement. We could have answered the queries cogently. We are not confident.

A person who is seen as confident is apparently a dynamic person outwardly. We all have a common emotive oasis of insufficient confidence level. Our confidence level is not consistent. Being confident is what matter when you are facing the real world. By building self confidence we are creating our own destiny.

How to make your confidence level constant daily is the most challenging part in our lives. Whether you the managing director of a company or employee of a firm you need learn to maintain and protect the confidence level in performing a task or job. The Universe is consistent but our self confidence is not.

Hit Your Favourite Hobby

Your favourite hobby is usually a task you are good at. I have a friend who works as a care taker in a building. I found him to be very passionate about his job and most of the time I find him a very happy person. Even if there is a serious teething problem to solve in the building he always does in a smiling manner and he emanates brilliant lights of confidence in him to solve a particular problem.

As I became curious of his consistent rejoice at every moment. I wanted to know what gave him an unchanging confidence. He replied that he gets happiness and confidence when he goes out for his fishing trip. He looked forward to carry out his hobby as it gives him confidence. The feedback that he will get from his hobby overpowers his daily challenges.

Stand Up

To get noticed in a crowd you have to stand out. But to have a consistent confidence you need to stand up. Do remember that you do not have to be obligated to accept all the negative feedback by your peers, colleagues or friends when thing did not turn out well. There is no harm if you had made a tiny error in your presentation. You can improve in the next round.

It is not easy task to compete or be a contestant. But there is no effort required for an audience. Let the critics know that their opinion of you is not held by everyone – most of all yourself. This might, at first, be hard to do but once you stick up for yourself a few times, your confidence level can be improved and will not be tampered with.

Smile

Learn to smile. A smile makes you appear warm, honest and friendly. A smile help you to relax your inner being. Make a conscious effort to smile often. Look at the mirror and practice smiling. The sad thing is that most of us cannot even perform this ‘free’ good which makes you confident in the eyes of the public. A smile also makes the observer to become comfortable with your presence.

Studies show that when a person smiles he or she is often seen as a happy, cool, caring, approachable ,comforatable and confident person. Having a beautiful smil is an indispensable code for living.

Firm Handshake

There is healing in human touch. A good handshake sends a signal to the other person that you will want to connect with him or her. This will gain their confidence in you. If you happen to meet anyone greet them with a firm handshake. A firm handshake not only makes communication easier but puts two strangers to mutual trust and improve confidence.

Focus On Other Person Comfort

Many people at most a very conscious of their self. They focus on how others may perceive them. Most of their thoughts and imaginations are negative in nature. Rather they should be asking on how to make the visitors happy. If you focus more on making other people happy, and that will build your confidence as other people start enjoying your company.

Make Eye Contact

See the person’s eye when you engage in a conversation. This will make your self seemed interested, calm, and confident. Avoiding eye contact makes you appear shy and submissive, while directly staring for too long might make you appear angry or scared. So the best advice is to gaze into a person’s eyes as your converse with them occasionally shifting your gaze or looking around.

Posture Is Important

Do not slouch or slump your shoulders- nothing says ” I lack confidence” more than a person who appears like they are trying to hide from the world. Ensure that your back is straight, your shoulders are square, and your chest is puffed out slightly. And stay loose, otherwise you will appear stiff and uptight. Keep your chin up and your eyes forward rather than looking at the ground. :)

Eat The Right Food 

It is always wise to eat the right food as food with tyramine content influences our anxiety. Tyramind produced in fermented and decayed food such as cheese and yogurt. foods containing potentially spoiled or pickled can produce tyramine. A large dietary intake of tyramine can cause blood pressure to be high. If you are naturally an anxious person – which is one factor to affect a person’s confidence – avoid these food. Replace them with food containing sugar or honey which gives mental alertness and calm your anxiety.

Lacking confidence is normal for anyone but staying at the low self confidence impediment to any success. Try to practice the above steps in gaining confidence.
