The origin of MANe by Proenrichment
Today I skipped lunch. By afternoon, I felt a little hungry. So I went to the grocery shop to get a packet of fruit dates. Dates give you a full feeling. The shop assistant showed me a box of ‘Lion Dates’ – packed in India.
What caught my attention was this figure of a lion on the box cover. As I was observing the lion, I found a close resemblance of its mane and the beard of man. Lion is the king of the jungle. It is ferocious. No animal is a match for the lion. It is a predator. It can easily survive. It is the fittest in the jungle. It is the King.
The early man, like us, is a copy cat. Animals has instinct, but man survives by education. He survives by
observation of his surroundings and repeating those actions. A sparrow builds its nest by instinct.
So man copied the lion’s apperance. He started to let go his hair and care less about his beard. He thought by changing his ‘looks’ to that of this wild cat he was seen as a lion. He became a survivor. thus keeping of beard is passed down generation to generation. The lion’s mane is what makes a man who keeps his beard.
So the next time if you see someone with the beard, you know it is the call of the wild.
