How To Actify And Manage Hair Health In A Frictionless Two Steps Approach
I envy people like Bill Gates for only one reason. He is rich and has a head full of hair. It is all right if your bank account is not full. However, it is an ‘empty’ feeling if you do not have a crown full of hair.
Being happy is our legitimate reason for living. To feel contended in your life happens when you see similarities in each other. I am sure you have some similarities between the “rich” and you. I find two similarities between Bill Gates and me which are as follows:
• We have a head full of hair
• We are on the same zodiac sign : Scorpio
Having a crown full of hair is a blessing. Many popular leaders in history had a hairy crown to their shoulders. Hercules, Jesus Christ and even Prophet Muhammad had record to show that they prefer letting down their hairs. In Singapore, you will be frowned if you let down your hair profusely especially for guys. They prefer the style that defies gravity (spiky) and Mohawk that looks like the eighth wonder of the world, as it resembles a pyramid. No matter what hairstyle you prefer, basic hair health needed if you want a dense crown.
Singapore Story
Singaporean men found to be the most sensitive to having their hair loss according to the results of a hair-loss survey. The results showed that Singaporean men having thin hair are ‘not cool’ which makes them unattractive to the opposite sex.
The online survey funded by Merck & Co. involved men aged between 20 and 40 from India, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan and the Philippines. Singaporean men spent an average $310 per month on hair-loss treatments compared to other men in the region who spent from $43 to $290 per month.
Is hair loss genetics or can it be reversed?
Vitamin E
10 years ago, my cousin’s dad had a balloon angioplasty and I was one of the observers from a clear glass next to the operating theatre. As I was observing the operation, someone brought a snack of curry puff (a small pie consisting with specialised curry and potatoes, which is deep-fried) to the surgeon. He ate it intermittently while he was performing the treatment. After he had finished the puff, he quickly popped in a couple tablets of vitamin E. That tickled my thinking cap.
As I explored on the benefits of vitamin E, I became more convinced the surgeon’s action was lesson for me. Vitamin E helps to thin blood. The blood in our veins pushed easily to the rest of the body if it is light. It also helps the hard working heart to do an easy job. As the circulation is good, you cannot have a clogged artery. There is no congestion and the way is always in ‘smooth’ mode.
Vitamin E can help hair to grow because it causes capillary growth. The increased circulation speeds the growth of hair in many people. The additional nutrition can prevent split ends, help heal hair damaged by excessive use of hair dryer, and cure dry hair as well.
Regular brushing and massage may help people with overactive scalp sebum production. It helps scalp stimulation. Brushing cleans the scalp of dirt, dead skin, and dandruff. Use a wider bristle for brushing daily is not oiled.
Oiling your hair in Singapore is not a good idea as the weather here is hot and humid. Neither will I recommend gel for your hair. Gel and oil attracts dirt and if you are using them, it is best to wash your hair daily with a very mild shampoo to remove the oil build up during the day.
Two weeks ago, there was a flea market near my neighbourhood and I got this ancient looking Chinese comb. Look at the picture. It is made of natural wood and it has close bristle, which is good for activating the ‘sleepy’ scalp. I will recommend weekly oiling and brushing off with a tight bristle hair comb.
Keep your hair short and oil weekly during off days or weekends. Apply sesame oil and keep it for a few hours. Use the tight bristle ‘Chinese comb’ to gently brushing your hair for 5- 10 minutes all over. If you have someone to do this for you, it will be of help. The bristles are sharp to touch on all the acupuncture points on your scalp for better circulation. So do take care when using this comb. Sesame oil has anti-bacterial properties, gives a cooling effect to your scalp, and keeps the hair healthy.
Try the above tips for a hair health. Any comments are welcome.
